Here to Stay

In 2005, the theme of the regional exhibition in Lower Austria was the Neolithic circular earthwork ("Kreisgrabenanlage"). These buildings made out of wood and soil are quite common in eastern Lower Austria. They are 6,500 year old monuments that mark the beginning of sedentism and agriculture in our region.
We cooperated with Arch. Walter Brada on the landscape design and the coordination around the reconstruction of one of these circular earthworks, carried out by the archaeological team of VIAS.
