Therapy Gardens: Much Needed Luxury
The Vienna North Hospital is a lighthouse project. For the first time in Austria, a landscape garden is integrated into the healing concept of a hospital. The concept by Martha Schwartz is designed around a number of mobility rehabilitation and therapy gardens as well as walking loops of varying lengths. Depending on grade of mobility and mood, patients can choose how they want to spend their time outside.
